75Getting pregnant again or getting pregnant for the first time over the age of 40 is risky which results to miscarriage and danger on the health of the mother. But there are some women who went through their pregnancy full term and gave birth successfully to a healthy child either by caesarian section or normal birth.

Thank you for this hub...very inspirational for those of us who are still entertaining the idea of conceiving after 40. I constantly get, "OMG! You can't be serious?" "Why would you do that? That's just crazy! You should be traveling and enjoying life?" A lot of critics..but I guess to each their own, right? Yup, my friends think I'm crazy. :)
I have just found out I am 6 weeks pregnant and I'm 41, will be 42 when I give birth. This is my third child and it took me eight months to conceive which is slightly longer than it took with my first two who I had when I was 35 and 37, and they took two months to conceive. Eight months wasn't such a long time when I didn't think it would even happen at all :-)
I am expecting my second baby and I am 40 (will be almost 41 by due date). It took nine months which was longer than my first pregnancy (conceived first try at age 37). I just think your fertility is down to three factors; lifestyle, luck and genes. My mother had a baby at 43.
